After significant injury to her dominant hand, Kaye Strange was set on a path to rethink her position as an artist.
PostOpPop is the title for an eclectic body of works created following the accident.
A play on words, 'Post-op' is utilised to describe the period after surgical operation and 'pop' employed to play on the idea of 'bursting one's bubble'!
In a physical and psychological transformation, and to re-train her mind's eye, the artist has created a fantastical collection of some 100 drawings of her impairment, colourful abstract paintings, sculptures and even a needlepoint - celebrating life going on!
