Ninety-one years after ‘The Great Emu Wars’--in DVA's Gallery One--Bev Garside portrays the battles between the army and emus in a humorous and slightly sarcastic light. Felt and mixed media are used to visualise the tenacious and resilient emus, who are joined in arms by other quirky fauna from around Australia.
